Partner with Thinklab

Schools, funders, government, development agencies, companies and individuals each gain something different from a Thinklab. Here is who we work with, how a partnership works, and how to start one.

Who partners with us

What a Thinklab offers each kind of partner

Government and districts

A partner to drive the youth agenda and the Fourth National Development Plan (NDP IV), which calls for innovation hubs and applied research.

Schools and colleges

A way to discover and grow your brightest minds through lab days, clubs and teacher coaching. See membership.

Foundations and donors

Fund labs through our US$5 million campaign for five regional labs, with a progress report every quarter.

Development agencies

Find a community’s real needs through research done by people who live there, then build solutions with them.

Companies

Bring us a challenge: rethink a model, rebuild a product or create a new one. Or commission research and meet young talent.

Where we align

Built to support national and global goals

Our labs and programs are designed to contribute to these plans and goals.

  • Uganda Vision 2040
  • NDP IV (2025/26 to 2029/30)
  • Uganda’s lower secondary curriculum
  • SDG 4: Quality education
  • SDG 8: Decent work
  • SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure
How a partnership works

Clear terms, clear reporting

  • Every partnership is set out in a written agreement or memorandum of understanding.
  • Partners receive a report every quarter on resources, funds and progress.
  • Every contribution is receipted, accounted for and used as agreed.
  • Partners may advise us. Our Board keeps final authority over programs, policies, intellectual property and strategy.
